📋 Prepare Kraaft before heading out to the field
Kraaft's offline mode works on conversations that are already loaded — by default, the most recently opened conversations 👍
If you need to access an older conversation, we recommend opening Kraaft and browsing through the conversations and projects you're going to visit 📱 before leaving an area with network coverage ✈️ — this ensures everything will be accessible once you're in a no-coverage zone.
✅ What you can do offline with Kraaft
Once conversations are loaded, here's what you can do without a network:
💬 Send messages, photos and documents in a conversation (they'll be sent as soon as the network comes back)
📋 Create and fill in a report — all data syncs automatically
🔍 View already-created reports
📸 Open documents and photos already loaded in the conversation
📍 GPS coordinates — A photo's GPS coordinates match where it was taken, not where it was sent from 😊 No need to worry if the photo sends a bit later: the GPS location will always be correct.
💻 On the web — Offline mode works the same way as on mobile. A few things to watch out for: keep your session active and avoid refreshing the page while sending ⚠️ — this stops files in the queue from loading.

Some actions aren't available in offline mode:
Create a new conversation or load an old one
Sort into or access a folder
Add a member to a conversation
Export a report or conversation
Switch workspace or team
If you try one of these actions offline, Kraaft may show an error message 💬 — that's completely normal. Just try again once you're reconnected.

🔧 Stuck in offline mode even though you have a connection?
It can happen that Kraaft stays in offline mode even though your device is connected 📶 If that's the case, try these solutions:
📵 Turn airplane mode on then off
🔄 Switch from Wi-Fi to 4G (or the other way round)
🛡️ Disable your VPN or firewall if you use one
