Kraaft helps you keep your conversations clean and organized! Sent a message by mistake or no longer need it? No worries: you can delete it in just a few seconds from desktop or mobile 🤳
👀 Good to know: this action deletes the message for all participants in the conversation and is irreversible!
💡 What counts as a message in Kraaft? Any content sent in a conversation is considered a message: 💬 text, 📸 photo, 📄 file, 📍 location and 🎤 voice message. The deletion procedure below applies to all these content types !
💻 Delete a message on a computer
To delete a message from the Kraaft web interface:
Hover your mouse over the message in the conversation 💬
Click on the three dots to the left of the message
Click Delete for everyone 🗑️
Click on Delete
The message is deleted and replaced with "You deleted this message" ✅
📱 Delete a message on your phone
You can also delete a message directly from the Kraaft mobile app:
Open the conversation containing the message 💬
Press and hold the message with your finger 📱
Tap More options (at the bottom of the list)
Select Delete for everyone 🗑️
Click on Delete
The message disappears and the text "You deleted this message" appears instead ✅
👤 Who can delete a message on Kraaft?
Deletion depends on the user's role in Kraaft:
Account owner: can delete any message at any time
Administrators, standard users and external guests: can only delete their own messages within 24 hours after sending them
⚠️ After 24 hours, only account owners can still delete a message!
