💬 How to delete messages ?

Kraaft helps you keep conversations clean and organized! Sent a message by mistake or no longer need it? No problem, you can delete it in just a few seconds 🚀

Here’s how to do it on desktop and mobile:

💻 Delete a message on a computer

To delete a message from the Kraaft web interface:

  1. Hover your mouse over the message in the conversation 💬

  2. Click on the three dots to the left of the message

  3. Click Delete for everyone 🗑️

  4. Click on Delete

  5. The message is deleted and replaced with “You deleted this message” ✅

💡 This action deletes the message for all participants in the conversation

📱 Delete a message on your phone

You can also delete a message directly from the Kraaft mobile app:

  1. Open the conversation containing the message 💬

  2. Press and hold the message with your finger 📱

  3. Tap More options (at the bottom of the list)

  4. Select Delete for everyone 🗑️

  5. Click on Delete

  6. The message disappears and the text “You deleted this message” appears instead ✅

👤 Who can delete a message on Kraaft?

Deletion depends on the user’s role in Kraaft:

  • Account owner: can delete any message at any time

  • Administrators, standard users and external guests: can only delete their own messages within 24 hours after sending them

⚠️ After 24 hours, only account owners can still delete a message!
