🚷 How to remove members

Updated this week

Kraaft makes it easy to manage access to your workspace! When someone leaves the team or no longer needs access, you can simply remove them from the space in just a few clicks πŸš€

⚠️ Only administrators and account owners can remove a member from the web !

❌ To remove a member from a computer

  • Open Settings βš™οΈ in the left-hand menu

  • Click on Members πŸ‘€

  • Find the person you want to remove in the list

  • Right-click on their name

  • Click Remove member

And that’s it! The member is removed from the space βœ…

πŸ“¦ What happens when you remove a member?

Removing a member does not delete their data πŸ‘€ The account is simply deactivated or archived for that workspace.

Here’s what happens :

  • The member no longer has access to the workspace conversations 🚫

  • Messages, photos, and files they sent remain visible in the history πŸ“Έ

  • Reports completed by that person remain available in Kraaft πŸ“‹

  • The history is preserved for the entire team

πŸ‘‰ This allows you to keep a complete record of the project or job site, even if someone leaves the team!

πŸ‘€ What happens if the person comes back later?

If you add that person to the workspace again later:

  • They will join the space as a new user πŸ”„

  • They will not have access to previous conversations

  • They will only see conversations they are added to after returning πŸ’¬

So it’s normal if the previous history does not appear for them.

πŸ” Difference between removing a member and deleting their profile

These two actions are different:

  • Remove a member: simply removes their access to a Kraaft workspace 🚷

  • Delete their profile: completely deletes the user account from Kraaft ⚠️

In most cases, removing the member from the workspace is enough when someone leaves a project or a company ;)
