➕ Adding a table field to a Kraaft report template
In the left-hand menu, click on Reports 📋
Open the report template you want to edit
In the editor, add a table field
Drag in the fields that will make up your mini-report — for example: a Text field for the name, a Date field, a Location, a Signature... You can add any field type available in Kraaft 💡
Test your table using the test phone that shows a live preview of your report on the right side of the editor 📱
⚙️ Configuration rules to know
Once the table field is created, here are the key points to keep in mind:
🏷️ Entry title — the first field you drag into the table automatically becomes the title of each entry. If left empty, Kraaft will display "table field name + number" by default
📂 Sections — you can place the table field inside a section, and create sections inside the table (e.g. section > table field > section = ✅)
🔀 Conditions — a condition on a field inside the table only applies within the table field, not to the rest of the report 👀
🚫 No table within a table — a table field cannot contain another table field
🎉 Outside the 300-field limit — fields placed inside a table field are not counted toward the 300-field report limit. A real advantage for complex reports!
⚠️ Specific features and points of attention
🔍 Database (DB)
The entries of each table field are accessible from a mini database 📊 It is not possible to filter from a global view: you need to click on the table in each report to open the DB for that particular report.
⚙️ Automations
For now, automations linked to table fields in reports are not yet functional 👀
🚨 Warning — data loss
Moving or removing a field from the table after data has been entered causes permanent data loss. It is therefore essential to carefully plan the table structure before going live!
