πŸ“‹ The table field in Kraaft reports

Discover the table field: what it's for, how to fill it in, and real field use cases.

Updated this week

Kraaft helps you structure repetitive data directly in your reports with the table field! πŸ“Š

🎯 What is the Kraaft table field?

In a Kraaft report, you can add any type of field to collect information: location, date, signature, dropdown list... πŸ’‘ (cf. Field types in Kraaft)

But when you're faced with repetitive information β€” timesheets, attendance signatures, material tracking β€” without knowing in advance how many times you'll need to enter it, a standard field just isn't enough πŸ€”

That's exactly where the table field comes in πŸ’‘ It appears in your report like any other field, but it contains its own mini-report: you drag in the fields of your choice (location, signature, text, list...), and when filling in the report you can add as many entries as needed β€” no limit, no need to plan the number in advance πŸš€

πŸ’Ό What is it actually used for?

With the table field, you set up a structure once, then add as many rows as needed at fill-in time βœ… It's especially useful for:

  • πŸ“‹ Attendance sheet β€” one row per participant with first name, last name, date and signature. No more setting up 20 fields in advance!

  • βœ… Punch list / snagging β€” one row per issue with description, photo and status (open / in progress / resolved). Perfect for site follow-up

  • πŸ”© Material tracking β€” one row per product with name, quantity and price. Great for daily reports

  • πŸ“… Site diary β€” one row per completed task with duration, number of operators and notes

  • 🦺 Safety form (toolbox talk) β€” one row per participant to sign off, without multiplying fields in your template

  • πŸ•³οΈ Trench, drilling or lighting point inspections β€” one row created = one item checked, for precise and complete tracking

In short: whenever you need to repeat the same structure multiple times in a report, the table field is the answer 🎯

πŸ“ Filling in a table field in a Kraaft report

  1. Open the relevant report in Kraaft πŸ“±

  2. Scroll down to the table field β€” you'll see the Add button to create a first entry

  3. Tap Add: a new row appears in the table πŸ†•

  4. Open that row to access the fields and fill in the information βœ…

  5. Go back to the table and repeat with Add for each new item β€” there's no limit on entries πŸ˜‰

⚠️ Note: the table field is not compatible with voice input at the moment.
